Ward Parkway Presbyterian Church exists to make disciples for Jesus Christ,

to nurture Christian faith, and to love, serve, and equip people.

In order to fulfill our mission, we are committed to:

  • Reaching out in a friendly manner with the love and gospel of Christ, beginning with our neighborhood, our acquaintances, and extending to the whole world through missions.
  • Providing worship that is true to scripture; consistent with Reformed tradition; and draws people to God in Christ.
  • Upholding traditional biblical values in preaching, teaching, and church leadership.
  • Offering Christian education for all ages.
  • Maintaining the renowned 40-year reputation of our loving preschool.
  • Offering spiritual nurture through various means.
  • Providing effective caring ministries.
  • Practicing good stewardship of the gifts God has given us individually and as a congregation.

Our youth ministry is a coordinated effort with K-Life ministries, providing weekly meetings for high school and middle school youth, with bi-weekly meetings for 3rd-5th graders.

What does it mean to be Presbyterian?

Presbyterians look to Jesus Christ alone for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are our final authority in faith and life. We are guided by our Book of Confessions which is comprised of Christian creeds ranging from the 4th century to 1991.

From the local church session to the national Presbyterian General Assembly, there is an elective process which assures that Presbyterians are governed by the membership.

Presbyterians have a strong heritage of ministering to the whole person ~ heart, body, mind, and spirit.

How do I join?

Inquirers classes are offered twice a year when a "critical mass" of interested people exists.

We hope that you will feel at home at this fellowship. However, if you don't, we pray that you will find a church home where you can worship & serve the Lord with heart, body, mind, & soul.
